East London Rugby Football Club has congratulated five members of its Vixens ladies’ team whose talents have been recognised by Essex County Ladies.

Sorcha Caudery, Freya Challis, Ella David, Steph Smith and Lucy Thomas have been named in the Essex squad for two matches in the RFU County Championship Gill Burns Trophy Division 3 Pool 3. They face Sussex on Sunday 17th May at Thurrock RFC and Middlesex on Sunday 25th May at Wasps RFC.

East London RFC Co-Chair Kat Salthouse said: “On behalf of everyone at the club, I congratulate Freya, Sorcha, Ella, Steph and Lucy on being called up by Essex and hope they get minutes on the pitch. We had a few others involved in the squad trials and though not called up this time, I am sure they will be better players for the experience.”
