East London RFC has been made the final in two categories at the prestigious National Rugby Awards 2016, the world’s largest rugby awards.
The awards honour the achievements of all the thousands of rugby clubs across the country. They will be presented on Thursday 1 September at Twickenham Stadium, the home of English Rugby
The club has made the shortlist of six finalists in the Facility Development of the Year category while East London Ladies are in the final six of the Women’s Team of the Year category.

East London RFC chairman Nick Bracken said: “We had a fantastic 2015/16 season on and off the pitch. Our 1st XV and Ladies teams won their respective leagues and our fourth team won silverware in the Merit Table Plate final. We also welcomes the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour and the famous Barbarians. Making the finals of two National Rugby Awards is the icing on the cake.”
